We regularly get 3D printed parts from Imaterialise using the SLS Polyamide option.
These are almost always extruded profile prototypes where the end material is Aluminium extrusion.
I am interested in whether MJF will have any advantages over the SLS Polyamide?
The Aluminium Profiles that the 3D prints are design prototypes for often have fine details such as can be created by wire eroding the extrusion tooling with a 0.25mm radius wire.
We have found that FDM doesn't always print with sufficient detail so we switched to the SLS Polyamide from Imaterialise and we do get pretty good results.
Is the MJF comparable in printing fine details as per the SLS Polyamide from Imaterialise?
Is the MJF more or less robust / durable / likely to break / stiffer or more flexible than the SLS Polyamide?
